...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT
SOUTH CENTRAL ALLEGHANY AND WILKES COUNTIES IN NORTHWESTERN NORTH
CAROLINA...

At 709 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were clustered near Cedar Rock,
or 7 miles northeast of Lenoir, moving north at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this storm.

and Wilbar.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
