* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Otero County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 930 PM MDT.

* At 633 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has 
  already fallen southwest of La Junta. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other 
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  La Junta, North La Junta, Rocky Ford, Swink and Cheraw. 

Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1.5 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN OTERO COUNTY...

At 712 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain are diminishing across the warned area as they move eastward. 
Pueblo Doppler radar estimates up to two inches of rain has already 
fallen. Flash flooding will continue until the water has a chance to 
recede.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage 
         and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
La Junta, North La Junta, Rocky Ford, Swink and Cheraw. 

Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1/2 inch are possible across 
eastern sections in the warned area.
