At 1253 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorm across southern Christian and Todd Counties. Movement
was nearly stationary.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, Elkton, Fort Campbell, Clarksville, Guthrie,
Pembroke, Trenton, Lafayette, Justice, Everett, Allensville, Allegre
and Herndon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

this storm.

...HEAT INDICES OF 100 to 105 AGAIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

High temperatures in the lower 90s will combine with high humidity
levels to produce heat indices from around 100 to near 105
Thursday afternoon. Some relief will come to a few areas as a few
isolated to scattered thunderstorms develop.

If you are active outdoors, take breaks, and drink plenty
of non- alcoholic fluids. Those involved with children should
always check the back seat before leaving their vehicle.

At 224 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of Graham to near Crofton to 9
miles north of Big Rock. Movement was northwest at 5 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Madisonville, Dawson Springs, Cadiz, Earlington, Nortonville, Mortons
Gap, Crofton, Graham, Cobb, White Plains, Hanson, St. Charles, Nebo,
Slaughters, Bremen and Hawkins.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If on or near Lake Barkley, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
