Morning forecast is in good shape. Temperatures are gradually
increasing as planned this morning. Brought hourly temperatures
and dewpoints closer to latest observations through the afternoon
and evening. Fairly impressive isentropic ascent ahead of a
strengthening disturbance will allow for light showers to develop
through the day especially across the southern valley. Area radars
already show light returns across the area. QPF amounts will be
light. Updated ZFP and NDFD grids have been sent.

18Z TAF DISCUSSION.

Mostly overcast skies will persist through the next 24 hours ahead
of a stregthening area of low pressure to the west. Southerly
winds will continue to advect moisture northward with gusty winds
especially on Saturday. Light SHRA is possible overnight and
Saturday where PROB30 groups were included to account for this
potential. Any TSRA should hold off until after the 18Z TAF period
so did not include any thunder in this set of TAFs. As far as
CIGS are concerned, gradual lowering in CIGS are expected tonight
and on Saturday. Could see a reduction in CIGS and VIS to MVFR in
any showers that happen to pass over the TAF sites. A strong
60-70 knot low level jet will move over the region late tonight
and through Saturday. This will cause some wind shear and included
this in the TAFs.

A strong storm system will impact the Tennessee Valley region
Saturday and Saturday night, bringing a potential for multiple
weather hazards.

Windspeed will continue to increase across the mountains and
foothills of East Tennessee on Saturday. In the strong southerly
flow, wind gusts in excess of 70 mph are possible.

A line of showers and thunderstorms is expected to cross the area
Saturday afternoon and evening. Portions of this line may be
capable of producing damaging wind gusts, and an isolated tornado
cannot be ruled out.
