A rapidly developing low pressure system is forecast to lift north from Iowa and pass over Lake Superior tonight. Strong winds with frequent gusts to 40 mph are expected to develop tonight through Friday morning as the low pressure system moves through. Some gusts may reach as high as 50 mph. Additionally, some lake- effect snow will develop as colder air moves in. This will create some blowing snow and reduced visibilities at times. JAW
