.NEAR TERM /Now Through Tuesday/...A lower cloud deck has advected
into our area...generally west of the I-65 corridor...in advance
of the weak cold front pushing through the area. Cloud cover has
been aided some by surface heating and should gradually thin out
as we move into the evening hours. The cold front will sag
southward off the coast tonight. Aside from the cloud cover,
little change expected to sensible weather with this boundary.
Low-level moisture has slowly increased across the area courtesy
of the light southeasterly wind flow so once the clouds thin out
overnight fog development is anticipated over SE MS and inland
portions of AL but should burn of shortly after sunrise Tuesday
morning. Overnight lows will trend around 5 degree above
climatological norms ranging from the low to mid 40s over most
inland areas to mid 40s to near 50 near and along the coast.
Tuesday's high temperatures will trend 10 degrees warmer than
normal ranging from the mid 60s to near 70. /08

18Z issuance...VFR conditions are expected to prevail at TAF sites
through the forecast period. A weak cold frontal boundary over
northern AL and MS will sag southward today bringing with it a
lower cloud deck. The lowest clouds associated with this cloud
deck will remain primarily north of the forecast area but some
patchy mvfr ceilings are possible north of highway 84 and west of
interstate 65: otherwise, cloud bases should remain above 3500
feet. Patchy areas of fog will develop overnight across inland AL
and SE MS and could become dense at times but VFR conditions are
anticipated at TAF sites. /08
