* At 355 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in southwestern and south central Alabama. Between 3
and 6 inches of rain have fallen so far today. Flash flooding is
already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by Hurricane rainbands producing
extremely heavy rainfall that are advancing inland

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Andalusia, Atmore, Opp, Brewton, Evergreen, Frisco City, Stockton,
McCullough, East Brewton, Uriah, McKenzie, River Falls,
Castleberry, Excel, Red Level, Dozier, Repton, Heath, Gantt and
Pollard.
This could become a very serious situation later today where and
when bands repeatedly become aligned and move over the same
localized area.

dangers of flooding.
