The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

.DISCUSSION...

...Storm Chances Remain High Through the Holiday Weekend and Much of
Next Week...

Current-Tonight...Another warm and oppressive afternoon with highs
most locations reaching the L-M90s ahead of any sea breeze or
outflow passages. Heat indices have been on the order of 98-103
degrees. The 15z KXMR sounding came in with a PWAT of 1.81 inches
and a cooler 500 mb temp of -7.5C. The 915 MHZ Cape wind profilers
show a decrease in the westerly flow in the low-levels which have
allowed for the ECSB to form with slow movement inland this
afternoon. The WCSB has been active over WCNTRL FL with scattered
storms pushing into the I-4 corridor and gradually further southward
across ECFL. The stationary front to the north will move little as
subtle, weak perturbations aloft traverse the FL peninsula in the
westerly flow. Deep layer moisture will increase with PWATs
approaching 1.90-2.20 inches almost areawide. Higher coverage and
greater intensity in storms will favor the eastern peninsula and
storm motion will drive storms back to the coast.

Storm impacts include heavy downpours leading to localized nuisance
flooding of prone areas or locales that have received recent heavy
rainfall, frequent cloud to ground lightning in a few storms,
perhaps some small hail, and gusty winds locally of 45 to 55 mph.

Scattered storms will be ongoing into the evening and then push out
across the Atlantic waters during the late evening hours. After
midnight, dry weather is expected, except for a slight shower chance
for Lake County late. Lows will be in the L-M70s. Clouds will thin
through the night and winds will become light.

Previous Extended Forecast Discussion...

Sunday-Monday...Rain chances remain high through late weekend into
early next week as deep moisture and a prevailing offshore flow lead
to the continued development of scattered to numerous showers and
storms across the area. NBM PoP values still seems a little too high
for this pattern, especially since consensus of MOS guidance is
still around 20-30 percent lower. Have therefore kept forecast rain
chances in between the two, ranging from 60-80 percent each day,
with greatest rain chances across central and northern sections of
east central Florida where highest moisture will reside. Initial
storm formation will occur across west central Florida with
convection shifting eastward and offshore from late morning into the
afternoon. Low level W/SW winds should be weak enough for the east
coast sea breeze to form each day, and any interactions with this
boundary could lead to a few stronger storms toward the coast.

Before convection and cloud cover increases across the area into the
afternoon, highs should still be able to reach the upper 80s to low
90s. Overnight lows will remain in the low to mid 70s.

Tuesday-Saturday...Models have shifted slightly for the middle of
next week, with deep layer ridge now being suppressed more toward
the south and not lifting north across the area as the trough aloft
re-establishes itself across the Southeast States. The trough looks
to lead to low pressure development along a stalled frontal boundary
north of Florida, which may increase offshore flow into late week.
An initial decrease in showers and storms is still possible from
Tuesday-Wednesday with deeper moisture building back across the
area, and above normal rain chances around 60-70 percent forecast
Thursday-Saturday. Highs will be near to above normal in the low to
mid 90s.

.AVIATION...High coverage of showers/storms across interior
terminals the rest of this afternoon and into early evening with
activity gradually pushing toward the east coast. The east coast sea
breeze has reached farther inland this afternoon which will likely
further intensify convection once it approaches the coastal
terminals later this afternoon and evening (DAB-TIX-MLB earlier then
followed by VRB-FPR-SUA). Threat for storms should diminish within
an hour or two after sunset but some showers could stick around well
into this evening. VFR conditions prevail overnight.

.MARINE...Afternoon-Tonight...Weak surface ridge axis continues well
south of the local coastal waters. Weak frontal boundary across the
Gulf Coast States is drawing up deep moisture across the region.
Winds have become onshore this afternoon with sea breeze formation
and due to a weaker pressure gradient in place. Expect the surface
wind field to become distorted at times from offshore moving
showers/storms. Seas 1-2 ft near shore and 2-3 ft well offshore.

Mariners will need to keep an eye to the sky westward, on inland
lakes as well as the intracoastal/near shore Atlc waters. Keep in
mind that outflow from storms can reach your location well ahead of
any precipitation. We, again, have seen an early initiation to
showers/storms, esp Cape northward early, then later southward all
the way down to Jupiter Inlet, as activity progress towards the east
at 15-20 kts (offshore moving). Winds/seas locally higher invof
storms. Storm wind gusts in excess of 35 kts will be likely along
with torrential downpours and frequent cloud to water lightning in a
few storms, perhaps even some small hail. Also note, that lightning
can strike greater than 10 miles away from the parent storm.

Previous Extended Marine Forecast Discussion...

Sun-Wed...W/SW flow in the morning will become S/SE into the
afternoon as offshore flow should remain weak enough for the east
coast sea breeze to develop each afternoon. Wind speeds will remain
below 15 knots with seas 1-3 feet. Main concern for boaters will
continue to be the threat of gusty offshore moving scattered to
numerous showers and storms each afternoon.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Deep moisture across east central Florida combined with daytime
heating and weak energy aloft will allow scattered to numerous
showers and storms to develop across the interior, then move toward
the Atlantic coast by mid afternoon into early evening. A few strong
storms may develop with locally heavy rainfall amounts up to 2 to 3
inches, gusty winds to 45 to 55 mph, cloud to ground lightning
strikes, and perhaps some small hail. Beachgoers should keep an eye
to the west for approaching storms in the afternoon today. Be
prepared to seek shelter if thunder is heard.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Storms developing over the interior by early afternoon will move
toward the Atlantic coast by mid afternoon into early evening. A
few of the stronger storms may produce gusty winds in excess of 35
knots. Boaters should be prepared to seek safe harbor as storms
approach across inland lakes, as well as the intracoastal and near
shore Atlantic waters.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
An east swell and a larger than normal tidal range will contribute
to a Moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents at east central
Florida beaches. Remember to swim within sight of a lifeguard.

Also, be sure to check with local officials regarding any beach
closures that might be in effect for your county or community.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
Scattered to numerous storms are expected each afternoon through the
upcoming week. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning strikes,
torrential downpours, and gusty winds will be the main threats with
any strong storms that develop.

A Moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents is expected to
continue at the east central Florida Atlantic beaches through the
holiday weekend and into early next week.
