The Flood Watch for a portion of east central Florida, including the 
following areas, Indian River, Martin, Brevard, Lake, Okeechobee, 
Orange, Osceola, Seminole and St. Lucie will expire AT 8 PM EDT this 
evening.

Scattered afternoon and evening storms are expected in the coming 
days more typical of our wet season but persistent heavy rains are 
not expected so the Flood Watch has been allowed to expire.  Please

.DISCUSSION...

...Very Wet Pattern Will Continue Through At Least This Weekend...

Currently...We are getting some reports of some roadway inundation
occurring in some lower spots around coastal Martin county and
Stuart. An Areal Flood Warning for this area (including Southeast
St. Lucie Co.) remains in effect through 1130 AM. The wet forecast
ahead into the weekend will necessitate issuance of a Flood Watch
for portions of the area by the next routine forecast package this
afternoon. The current forecast will be updated mainly to increase
short term rain chcs across the south.

Today-tonight...Mid level ridge atop Florida will shift east into
the Atlantic this afternoon/tonight as a short wave trough amplifies
over the NE GOMEX and Florida. As this occurs, the Atlantic ridge
axis will retreat eastward, allowing low level E-ESE flow to veer to
SE today and SSE/S tonight. With the deep layer flow becoming more
southerly, a higher PWAT air mass (1.9 - 2.1") will overspread ECFL
leading to scattered-numerous diurnal convection. Coverage of storms
may somewhat limited by extensive mid-high cloud cover, which should
thicken in the moist SW flow aloft between the trough and the upper
level anticyclone over T.S. "Cristobal" in the Bay of Campeche. POPs
mainly 50-60 percent today (except 40 Volusia/70 Okeechobee) and
likely all locations tonight as upper forcing increases through the
evening as the trough moves overhead.

Similar to the past several days, locally heavy rainfall amounts are
expected. Max temps a few degrees either side of 85F, with mins in
the L70s.

Thursday-Friday...An enlongated surface ridge axis across the state
will begin to retreat Thursday as an upper trough descends down the
Mississippi Valley, with Tropical Storm Cristobal floating near the
Yucatan Peninsula. The position of each of these features will drive
deep southerly flow across FL, along with a surge of tropical
moisture. Forecast PW will remain above 2.00" through late week with
high chances for showers each day. Unimpressive lapse rates and a
saturated profile should limit convective forcing through at least
Friday, so will only leave a slight mention of thunder during the
times of peak heating. Widespread showers are anticipated, with PoPs
of 80-90% areawide on Thursday, dropping only slightly to 70-80% on
Friday. Rainfall amounts through the end of the week will likely
approach 2", with locally higher amounts possible along with the
concern for minor flooding. Highs through the period will remain
below average for the first week of June, topping out in the low to
mid 80s, with near normal lows in the low 70s.

.AVIATION...MVFR CIGs/VSBYs in showers spreading NW from VRB-MLB
Spotty MVFR CIGs BKN020-025 in diurnal CU thru 16Z, becoming
widespread BKN030-035 with scattered to numerous SHRA/isolated TS
producing IMC through 00Z and beyond for several hours.

.MARINE...Today-tonight...Light to moderate ESE-SE flow 10-15KT
becoming SE/SSE over the next H24. Seas 3-5ft today, subsiding
slightly to 3-4ft overnight. Scattered to numerous showers with
a few lightning storms.

Thursday-Sunday...A swath of tropical moisture will hold steady over
the peninsula and local Atlantic waters, keeping above normal rain
chances in place through the weekend with widespread showers and the
occasional thunderstorms. Southeast winds less than 15 kts will
increase slightly on Saturday, veering more southerly on Sunday as
TS Cristobal advances north across the Gulf of Mexico. Seas of 3-4
ft on Thursday will subside to 2-3 ft by the weekend. No impacts are
expected to the Atlantic waters from TS Cristobal, but marine
interests are still encouraged to monitor the latest forecasts from
the National Hurricane Center.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Numerous showers over the southern Treasure Coast region early
this morning are forecast to spread north and inland through the
late morning, afternoon, and into this evening. Isolated lightning
storms will develop, mainly from this afternoon through sunset.
Torrential downpours, along with brief wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph,
and cloud to ground lightning strikes will occur with today's
storms. Move indoors to safety at the first sign of threatening
skies, or if you hear thunder.

.FLOOD IMPACT...
Because of slow storm motion, rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
in a 60 to 90 minute period are expected Local inundation of roads
and other urban and poorly drained low lying areas is likely.
Never drive into an area where water covers the road. Turn around,
don't drown.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Wind gusts up to 35 knots will be possible over the local Atlantic
waters, Intracoastal Waterway and on inland lakes. Reduced
visibility and cloud to water lightning strikes will also occur.
boaters should always seek safe harbor in advance of storms.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A Moderate threat for dangerous rip currents will exist in the
central Florida Atlantic surf zone today. While rip currents will
be present all day, the threat will be highest from 930 AM this
morning through 330 PM this afternoon due to tidal effects. To
reduce your risk of being caught in a rip current, swim within
sight of a lifeguard, and never swim alone, while following local
social distancing guidelines.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
Numerous showers and isolated to scattered lighting storms are
expected through the remainder of this week, the upcoming weekend,
and into early next week. Deadly cloud to ground lightning strikes,
localized flooding from heavy rainfall, and gusty winds will be
the primary storm threats. There will also be a Moderate threat
for dangerous rip currents will in the surf zone.
