the Milwaukee River Near Cedarburg.
* Until Wednesday morning.
* At 2:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 10.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
this morning to a crest of 11.5 feet this evening. It will then
fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 11.3 feet, The following roads and intersections may
be flooded: Highway Y and Hawthorne Drive in the Town of
Saukville, Blueberry Drive and Hawthorne Drive in the Town of
Saukville, Highway W between Highway 33 and Highway 57 in the
Village and Town of Saukville. Water approaches some homes along
Klug Lane just south of Highway C in Thiensville. Water is near
some homes along Island Drive and Shoreland Parkway in the Mequon
area.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.6 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
early Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 11.9 feet, The following roads and intersections may
be flooded: Highway Y and Hawthorne Drive in the Town of
Saukville, Blueberry Drive and Hawthorne Drive in the Town of
Saukville, Highway W between Highway 33 and Highway 57 in the

* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Floodwaters are into Riverside Park in
Burlington. Water covers a portion of Brever Road about 4 miles
south of Burlington. Water is in the parking lot at Veteran's
Terrace in Burlington.

section of Alpine Road near the Sheboygan Airport is closed.

.SHORT TERM...
TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY - Confidence...Medium to High.
The slow moving cutoff low will continue the stratus and light rain
over the area throughout the day. We'll continue to see pockets of
positive vorticity advection rotate through the area, resulting in
on and off rain showers. Best chances are towards east central
Wisconsin As the low pressure system moves to the southeast,
northeast winds will continue with gusts of 20 to 30 mph today. Low
level moisture will linger into Tuesday but there is some
uncertainty with when the stratus and showers will clear. For now
have kept Tuesday afternoon dry, but if the low pressure system
moves slower expect chances to be added to the afternoon period.
Lingering higher waves and persistent onshore flow to continue
today, so wl continue Lakeshore Flood Advisory. Largest threat for
lakeshore flooding and erosion will be along the shore of Sheboygan
and Ozaukee counties where the highest winds and largest waves are
expected today. Wave heights will range from 2 to 5 feet along
Racine and Kenosha counties to 6 to 9 feet farther north.
TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY - Forecast Confidence...Medium.
Drier low to mid-level air wrapping westward to the north of cut-off
low pressure should end the light precipitation across southern WI
during this period. Persistent low level easterly winds will
continue as the cut-off low sinks farther south into the TN Valley.
However clouds will continue to move westward across the Great
Lakes. So with clouds and east winds, can not get to optimistic
with high temperatures on Wednesday and will keep lakeshore areas in
the 50s. Temperatures should warm into the 60s inland, with perhaps
a few low 70s toward Lone Rock and Mineral Point.
.LONG TERM...
WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY - Forecast Confidence...Low to
Medium.
Confidence remains low on eventual movement of cutoff low pressure
in the Ohio Valley region early in the period. Upstream piece of
short wave energy rotating through long-wave trof over western CONUS
should nudge downstream cut-off low slowly to the north or northeast
Thursday and Friday. However there remains considerable uncertainty
on strength and track of this short wave energy and how far east it
moves through the upper midwest. With cut-off low so far to the
south at the start of the period, and drier air spreading into the
area associated with high pressure ridge, wl continue dry forecast
for bulk of the end of the week period. Will continue small chances
for -shra beginning Saturday through Sunday, but likely most of this
period will be dry due to uncertainty in upper level pattern for
this period. Cloud cover will be more variable during this period
and with predominantly easterly flow, lakeshore areas will remain
cooler each day through Friday. Inland areas should warm at least
into the 60s each day with a gradual warming trend into the 70s as
the low level flow turns more southerly by the weekend. Perhaps some
inland 80s over the weekend!

IFR to LIFR ceilings will continue throughout the day with periods
of MVFR to IFR visibilities. Light rain will also be on and off
through the day into tonight. Northeast winds will gradually
decrease tonight as the pressure gradient weakens.
.MARINE...
Lighter winds will continue over southern Lake Michigan today due to
nearness of slow moving low pressure. This broad area of low
pressure extends from northern Il across southern Lake Michigan
early this morning. Relatively high low level moisture and the cool
lake waters will continue to generate areas of dense fog today. The
low level winds will start to increase from the northeast later
today and tonight as the low sags to the south. Hence hoping dense
fog lifts by then. Tighter pressure gradient over parts of central
and northern Lake Michigan producing occasional gusts to 35 knots
down to the lake surface despite shallow low level inversion. So wl
continue Gale Warning across the north through tonight. Due to
lingering high waves and occasional gustiness, wl also continue
Small Craft Advisory for the nearshore as well with dense fog in the
southern zones.
