Brandywine Road is flooded. Coon Valley Road is going under water.

Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Memphis TN 615 AM CDT Thu Apr 2 2020 .UPDATE...Aviation Discussion. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 503 AM CDT Thu Apr 2 2020/ Scattered to broken clouds across most of the region and southerly flow have kept temperatures a few degrees warmer this morning than what we've seen the past few days. Current temperatures are in the mid 40s to mid 50s. We're on track to hit the low 40s and low 50s for lows over the next few hours. High pressure over eastern CONUS continues to keep us dry. A weak shortwave that will track through the Mid-South tomorrow will bring the chance for isolated showers for mostly northeastern AR and the MO Bootheel. Most of the area will remain dry through Saturday morning. Temperatures will rise into the low to mid 70s for highs with lows in the 50s. High pressure centered over the Upper Midwest and another high centered over the northeast will block a low pressure system as it slowly moves through eastern CONUS - resulting in a stationary boundary to set up over the Mid-South through the weekend. Isolated to scattered showers and storms will be possible throughout the weekend. Temperatures will be above normal with highs in the low to upper 70s and lows in the upper 40s and 50s. The strong ridge over the eastern half of the US will finally break down and slowly push east to start off the workweek which will allow a more progressive and zonal longwave pattern to setup. The upper level jet will set up right over the area which will result in a path for weak upper level shortwaves to consistently track through the Mid-South until at least the middle part of next week. At this time, only general thunderstorms are expected with limited instability and weak dynamics forecast through the start of next week. Temperatures will continue to rise through the week as we remain on the back side of high pressure with southerly flow across the area.
