* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 18.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flood left bank farmland.
* Impact...At 18.5 feet, Wilcox Bridge Lane floods just east of the
Little Wabash River near the gage location. Blueflower Lane
southeast of the gage begins to flood.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet, 2600E Road begins to flood 1.5 miles south
of Wynoose.

Issued at 244 AM CST Sun Nov 22 2020 After rain shifts east of the area this morning, mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures will prevail. High pressure moving into the region tonight and Monday, will bring cool and dry weather. && .SHORT TERM...(Today and tonight) ISSUED AT 244 AM CST Sun Nov 22 2020 06z surface map placed 1019 mb low pressure over southeast MO. A large area of overrunning rain associated with isentropic lift affected the area overnight with the steadiest rains affecting the central and southern CWA. Rain will taper off from the west this morning as the low tracks through southern Indiana, and much of the rain should exit far eastern IL by mid morning. While some clearing is currently noted over eastern IA, clouds look to hang in through this afternoon for most of the CWA as the upper trof axis swings through, though could see some breaks west of I-55 this afternoon. Highs to reach the upper 40s where some sun manages to break through, though mid or even lower 40s will be more common where clouds remain. Tonight will be dry as surface ridging approaches from the west with lows near to a few degrees below freezing, under eventual clearing skies. .LONG TERM...(Monday through Saturday) ISSUED AT 244 AM CST Sun Nov 22 2020 1030 mb ridge slides east across the area Monday resulting in quiet but cool weather. Highs to be similar to Sunday in the mid and upper 40s. Pattern turns active again Monday night when an amplifying mid level trof over the Rockies spins up low pressure over the western Plains. Elevated warm advection well ahead of this, will bring an expanding precip shield from Iowa and northern MO, northeast through roughly the northern half of IL. Forecast soundings, thanks to initially dry air below 800 mb, point to snow or a rain/snow mix over the northwest half of the CWA 06-12z Tue. Overall QPF looks fairly light on the order of a tenth of an inch, and with lows in the mid 30s accumulations are not expected this far south. Will likely see a lull in the precip after warm frontal process lifts north of the area, until forcing increases later Tuesday with the approach of the upper trof and surface low. Thus will have likely pops west of I-55 Tuesday afternoon, then east over the remainder of the CWA Tuesday night. Showers may linger well into Wednesday as the upper low closes off and shifts across the area, and have chance pops to cover this. Added isolated thunder mention primarily Wed morning when some instability is noted under the closed low and ahead of the cold frontal passage. A decent Gulf fetch of moisture ahead of this system suggests widespread moderate event QPF of 1"+. Ridging shifting over the central U.S. on Thanksgiving looks to bring dry and seasonable weather. Some spread in ensemble solutions with respect to a shortwave trof moving into the Midwest Friday, and how much moisture can be pulled north ahead of it. Stuck with NBM slight chance pops Friday into Saturday. Seasonable to slightly below normal temperatures are expected for Friday and into next weekend. && .AVIATION...(For the 12Z TAFS through 12Z Monday morning) Issued at 610 AM CST Sun Nov 22 2020 Ceilings will start out IFR to MVFR as the overnight wave of rainfall departs to the east this morning. A brief period of VFR skies has developed at PIA, but satellite images and upstream obs indicate an MVFR ceiling will develop by 14z. The more widespread IFR ceilings look poised to advance across SPI, DEC and CMI. There should be enough dry air this afternoon to lift all terminal sites to VFR by 20z or so. Forecast soundings show a layer of mid-level moisture still present as the upper level trough axis advances across Illinois, so cloud cover will likely linger into early evening before clearing. Winds will initially be NE at 12G25KT at times early this TAF period for the eastern sites (BMI, CMI, DEC).
