At 823 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Old Dock, or 9
miles southeast of Whiteville, moving east at 40 mph.

WILL EXPIRE AT 845 PM EDT...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

.SYNOPSIS...
A cold front bringing showers and a strong thunderstorm or two this
evening  will move off the coast overnight. Cooler and drier on
Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the next, stronger cold front will
approaching Friday. Below normal temperatures and dry weather
expected through Saturday. Chance of showers return on Sunday with
temperatures slowly moderating through early next week.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/...
Line of convection is along a line from east of Lumberton to Conway.
This line is expected to move off the coast of northeast South
Carolina within the next 90 minutes and by 03 utc in southeast North
Carolina. The winds are strong behind the front and will slowly
decrease after midnight along with the stratiform rain.

As the front moves off the coast cooler and drier will move into the
area with highs eon Wednesday into the middle 70s and lows in the
middle 50s Wednesday night.

.SHORT TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT/...
Slightly below normal temperatures and dry weather will continue on
Thursday as high pressure builds behind the front. Overnight lows
will hover around 60 along with breezy northerly winds. Cold front
will push through the area early Friday with little more than a few
clouds signaling its arrival. Even cooler temperatures are expected
on Friday as cold air advection rushes in behind the front.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Quiet weather will continue on Saturday with below-normal
temperatures and overnight lows in the low 50s (a few upper 40s
inland). Little to no precip chances until Sunday as a weak
shortwaves traverses the SE US. If any precip develops, it will
likely remain light and widely scattered with dry air limiting any
significant development. High pressure continues to hold over the
area, but the air mass moderates a bit early next week, closer to
normal.

.AVIATION /00Z WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
Line of convection will push into KMYR and KCRE within the hour with
gust of 35 to 45kt and LIFR for less than 2 hours.  MVFR and light
rain at these sites until 06 UTC. This line will over across KILM
between 0130 and 0230 UTC.  Similar conditions are expect at KILM as
KCRE. KFLO and KLBT will have MVFR ceilings and visibilities through
the next 6 hours before the cold front moves across the sites and
clearing and VFR conditions are expected from 10 UTC on. At the
coast the MVFR and clearing will be several hours later..

Extended Outlook...VFR Wednesday afternoon through the weekend.

.MARINE...
Through Wednesday night... Line of convection will move off the
entire coast within the next few hours. The cold front will move off
the coast overnight and winds will become west to west-northwest and
gusty. It's become a little iffy as to whether or not advisory-
worthy 6 ft seas are going to materialize everywhere especially
across SC waters. Pair this fact with sub-advisory winds and we've
got a pretty marginal SCA in effect right now it seems. However the
upper wave that is approaching is strong enough that winds should
become quite gusty as the front approaches overnight especially with
the still warm SSTs favoring good vertical mixing. Have left
everything in place as-is. A sharp early veer tomorrow will give way
to winds that decrease considerably through the afternoon.

Thursday through Sunday... Cold front approaching the area on
Thursday and Thursday night will bring southerly winds and a
tightening pressure gradient as high pressure builds. As the front
pushes through the area, southerly and SW winds will become
northerly by Friday morning. As stronger high pressure builds into
the area on Saturday evening and Sunday, NE winds will surge to 15-
20 knots with gusts to 25 knots. Waves will build 4-5 feet, possibly
reaching 6 feet and SCA conditions over the NC coastal waters.

a line extending from near Hoffman to near Mechanicsville to near
Johnsonville. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

This line is expected to be near a line from Saint Pauls to Tabor
City to Georgetown by 730 pm.

These thunderstorms have the capability of producing isolated winds
in the excess of 50 mph.

People attending Conway Medical Center may be affected by this storm
