SOUTHERN ST. LOUIS AND WEST CENTRAL LAKE COUNTIES...

At 1221 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were along a line extending from
near Virginia, to 7 miles west of Floodwood, and moving east at 70
mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph, heavy downpours, and frequent cloud to
ground lightning can be expected with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Duluth, Hibbing, Hermantown, Virginia, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Hoyt
Lakes, Gilbert, Aurora, Babbitt, Biwabik, Cherry, Floodwood, Cotton,
Toivola, Brookston, Meadowlands, Fairbanks, Wolf Lake, and Boulder
Lake.

Seek shelter inside a sturdy building and away from windows until
these storms pass. Get off area lakes and seek shelter on shore in a
sturdy shelter or a hard topped vehicle.
