...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN CATTARAUGUS AND
SOUTH CENTRAL ERIE COUNTIES...

At 510 PM EDT, two strong thunderstorms were located in Northern
Cattaraugus County. One was located near Otto, the other near
Ashford Hollow moving northwest at 5 mph.

Wind gusts to 40 mph, small hail and heavy rain are possible with
this storm. A quick half inch or more of rain will fall in some
areas in as little as fifteen minutes.

Locations impacted include...
Springville, Gowanda, Ashford Hollow, New Albion, East Otto,
Cattaraugus, Otto, Cattaraugus County Landfill and West Valley.

Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN ERIE COUNTY...

At 555 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Clarence,
moving northwest at 10 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Cheektowaga, Clarence, Depew, Lancaster, Akron, Alden, Clarence
Center and East Amherst.

This includes Interstate 90 near exit 49.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

SOUTHEASTERN NIAGARA COUNTIES...

At 644 PM EDT, an area of strong thunderstorm was located along a
line from near Lancaster to Clarence to Rapids, moving north at 15
mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and heavy rainfall are possible with this
storm. Rainfall amounts of half of an inch to one inch will be
possible in a half hour or less.

Locations impacted include...
Clarence, Depew, Lancaster, East Amherst, Clarence Center and Rapids.

Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

At 700 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were clustered near Findley Lake,
or 22 miles west of Jamestown, moving north at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Westfield, Clymer, Findley Lake, Ripley, Mina, French Creek, Sherman,
Panama, Ripley Beach and Barcelona.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 90 near exit 61.
 Interstate 86 between exits 4 and 6.
