through early evening. A few of these storms may be severe with the
primary risk being isolated damaging wind gusts, and a lower risk of
large hail. Thunderstorms will also contain brief, torrential
downpours which may produce minor flooding in poor drainage areas.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN ERIE COUNTY...

At 435 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Evangola State
Park and moving northeast at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Buffalo, Lackawanna, Hamburg, Evans, Eden, Orchard Park, Small Boat
Harbor, Erie Basin Marina, Blasdell, Angola, North Collins, Derby,
Evangola State Park, Angola on the Lake, Woodlawn Beach State Park,
North Boston, Farnham and West Falls.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 57A and 56.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
