...A SLOW-MOVING STRONG THUNDERSTORM IN THE PIONEER VALLEY...

At 1206 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a slow-moving strong
thunderstorm over Hatfield, or near Amherst, moving southeast at 15
mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will accompany this
storm, along with brief heavy downpours and cloud to ground
lightning.

Locations impacted include...
Holyoke, Amherst, Northampton, Deerfield, South Hadley, Easthampton,
Belchertown, Granby, Hadley, Sunderland, Hatfield, Williamsburg,
Conway, Leverett, Shutesbury, Whately and Pelham.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Get indoors when this storm approaches. Winds may be strong enough to
produce minor damage, such as a few downed branches.
