...The flood warning continues for the Tallapoosa River At 
Wadley...and the Tallapoosa River at the Tallapoosa Water Plant...

.Elevated water levels continue on the Tallapoosa River due to heavy 
rainfall observed last week. Although levels have dropped below 
flood stage at the Tallapoosa Water Plant this morning, new 
forecasts have revised levels upward to now rise above flood 
stage once again by Wednesday evening. Additional rainfall expected 
this week will lead to those rises. Therefore, the Flood Warning 
remains in effect at the Tallapoosa Water Plant.

Meanwhile, forecast river stages at Wadley are expected to drop 
below flood stage soon, as early as tonight. The Flood Warning will 
remain in effect at Wadley until that time.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.  Turn Around...Don't Drown. 

Another statement will be issued by Tuesday morning...or sooner if 
conditions warrant.

Through Tonight.

The cold front this morning is now quickly advancing through the
central and into the eastern areas. There has been an uptick in
activity as the front caught the outflow from earlier and
increased the forcing as the two combined. Will continue to
monitor the storms as the slide south and east through the rest of
the area. A stronger storm with gusty winds still will be
possible with the activity despite the bulk of the dynamics
already further north and really an overall low area of support.
The one thing this activity does have going for it right now is
that is reaching an area that is still quite warm with
temperatures in the upper 60s/low 70s and dewpoints in the mid 60s
as well.

Still quite a bit of post-frontal rain to the west of the front
and will need to continue to monitor this area for potential of
continued flooding this morning. Once the front clears an area
this morning, a noticeable airmass change is in place.
Temperatures in the southeast will see their highest readings
right at sunrise for the day and then drop through the day.

Tonight, cold air advection will be in full force and temperatures
will drop into the 20s north to 30s south. Precipitation will not
be an issue tonight but will need to keep an eye on the roadways
overnight and into Friday morning for any residual moisture that
could freeze. Lows in the north will be in the 20s with the south
will be in the 30s.

.LONG TERM...

Friday through Thursday.

The sun finally returns to the area on Friday and Saturday,
although cold temperatures compared to the previous week. After
Saturday the overall pattern begins to shape up much like this
past week. Unfortunately that means more rain. The rain impact
could begin as early as Sunday morning or later into Sunday night
as there is some discrepancies with the model solutions right
now. So very low confidence on Sunday and Monday with the systems
possibility moving across the across the southern areas.

As we move into Tuesday, models ironically begin to agree on some
of the patterns as we begin to see the next cold front work toward
the area. They bring in 2 to 3 different waves with a slowly
drifting cold front to the south. So trying to time out the best
timing of each wave is difficult, so the extended is based on the
consensus solutions and best timing as possible. Expect changes of
the next few days as we get closer to the advancement of the
systems. Either way it does look like another wet week in store
for the area, so we may dry out that much.

Cold front now about to pass through TOI. So it has made it across
the area over the past 6 hours. With the frontal passage expect
only showers with variable IFR/MVFR ceilings for the next 4 to 10
hours. Generally MVFR skies through the early afternoon then VFR
after that. Winds will remain strong through the period with most
being from the west to northwest.

A strong cold front will exit the area this morning. Cooler and
drier weather will be in place through at least Saturday. Minimum
relative humidity values should remain above 30% Friday and
Saturday afternoons before better moisture begins to return to the
