This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms are expected through tonight across western
portions of the Panhandles. A few storms may be strong with gusty
winds being the primary hazard.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through
Sunday and into early next week. Storms will have the potential to
be strong with gusty winds and small hail.

UNTIL 630 PM CDT...

At 559 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles southwest of Lake Meredith, or 21 miles southwest of Borger,
moving northeast at 15 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Lipscomb, northern Roberts, northwestern Hemphill and southeastern
Ochiltree Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take shelter in a sturdy building if threatening weather approaches.

If on or near Lake Meredith, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.

SOUTHEASTERN DALLAM COUNTIES UNTIL 800 PM CDT...

At 726 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles southwest of Conlen, or 15 miles northeast of Dalhart. This
storm was nearly stationary.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with this storm.
