Scattered thunderstorms have started to develop this afternoon along an outflow boundary which was located near Interstate 40...extending northeast into portions of northwest Arkansas. Damaging winds and very heavy rainfall will be possible in the strongest storms through the evening hours. More widespread showers and storms are expected overnight, especially near and north of the outflow boundary. While a limited severe weather threat will continue, the greatest threat overnight will be heavy rainfall, which may result in some localized flash flooding, especially across parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
