This hazardous weather outlook is for east central...north
central and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage from south to
north through the day and more thunderstorms are likely across the
entire area tonight. Some of these storms may be severe with
large hail and damaging winds. A tornado or two is also possible
along and southeast of Interstate 35. Locally heavy rainfall is
also possible which could result in flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Severe thunderstorms are possible Monday night into Tuesday.
Heavy rainfall is likely in these periods which will increase the
flash flooding potential. River flooding may also possible result
Monday night into the middle and later portions of the week.

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTIES UNTIL 1100 PM CDT...

At 1024 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles northwest of Ogden to 9 miles west of
Volland to 3 miles southeast of Dwight. Movement was east at 35 mph.

This advisory replaces the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Geary,
Riley, and Morris counties.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible
with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Manhattan, Wamego, Alma, Ogden, St. George, Alta Vista, Dwight,
McFarland, Paxico and Volland.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 304 and 335.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

COFFEY AND EASTERN LYON COUNTIES UNTIL 1215 AM CDT...

At 1107 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Alma to 4 miles south of Hartford. Movement was
east at 30 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Topeka, Osage City, Burlington, Carbondale, Rossville, Alma,
Eskridge, Dover, Silver Lake, Auburn, Overbrook, Lyndon, Lebo,
Burlingame, Scranton, Maple Hill, Waverly, New Strawn, Quenemo and
Melvern.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 35 between mile markers 135 and 167.
 Interstate 70 between mile markers 323 and 355.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 135 and 179.
