A few light showers or sprinkles lingered in the north zones
overnight. Otherwise a mostly clear sky. Dry weather for Saturday
with only a few afternoon clouds. Locally breezy in the southwest
and south this afternoon into early evening. Elevated fire
concerns there. High temperatures will be in the 80s to around 90
with 60s and 70s in the mountains. Clear sky tonight with light
wind and seasonal low temps. Sunday will be dry and warmer with a
few afternoon clouds once again. Breezy areas will occur in the
central and southwest. A fire weather watch will be issued for
most of the southwest zones and a few central zones for Sunday
afternoon into early evening. Highs on Sunday will be in the 80s
and 90s with 60s and 70s for the mountains.

.LONG TERM...(Monday through Friday)

High pressure will continue to dominate the region on Monday for
a continued warm and dry pattern. High temperatures will be in the
80s to mid 90s across most of the state, the exception being
highs in the 70s in the northwest. Relative humidity is still
looking to bottom out in the low teens to single digits on Monday.
West winds will be a bit more breezy on Monday. Models are in
better agreement on the shortwave moving into Montana on Tuesday
afternoon. The majority of this shortwave's energy will be to our
north and east, so PoPs have been kept in and near the mountains.
The shower activity with isolated thunderstorms will redevelop
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, mainly in the afternoon and
evening hours. The best chances for precipitation are expected
across west and south.

A quiet and dry Saturday starts this weekend off. No
precipitation and little cloud cover is expected through the
period and next couple of days. VFR conditions will prevail. Of
note only is increased surface winds this afternoon with gusts to
about 22kts for KPBI, KPNA, and KRKS. Winds will begin to
increase after 18Z and dissipate around 01Z Sunday. Winds will be
a bit stronger and more widespread Sunday afternoon.

Monday will be dry with continued very warm temperatures. Low
