This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota...and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

There is a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms over a portion of
south central southern Minnesota. A Marginal Risk of severe
thunderstorms continues over central Minnesota this afternoon and
into western Wisconsin this afternoon into evening. The main
hazards are large hail and damaging winds but an isolated tornado
cannot be ruled out over south central Minnesota this afternoon.
Periods of rain with some embedded pockets of heavy rain can be
expected today. The heavy rain may lead to flash flooding,
especially over southern Minnesota and parts of west central
Wisconsin where a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

There is a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms on Saturday,
mainly during the afternoon and evening, for southeastern
Minnesota into west central and southwestern Wisconsin. The main
hazards are large hail and damaging winds.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN spotter activation may be needed this afternoon over a
portion of south central Minnesota.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN MEEKER AND EASTERN
KANDIYOHI COUNTIES...

At 259 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Willmar, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm. Funnel clouds are also possible, but would be short-lived and
not likely to touchdown as a tornado.

Locations impacted include...
Willmar, New London, Spicer, Atwater, Green Lake, Kandiyohi and
Hawick.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 12 between mile markers 73 and 90.
 U.S. Highway 8 in Minnesota near mile marker 6.
 U.S. Highway 71 between mile markers 119 and 131.
