* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Le Sueur County in south central Minnesota...
  Southern Scott County in east central Minnesota...
  Eastern Nicollet County in south central Minnesota...

* Until 315 PM CDT.

* At 1215 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain 
  have already fallen over portions of Le Sueur and Nicollet 
  counties, with additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are 
  possible. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  St. Peter, New Prague, Le Sueur, Le Center, Kasota, Helena, Ottawa,
  Heidelberg, St Thomas, St Henry and St Benedict.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR
NORTHERN LE SUEUR...SOUTHERN SCOTT AND EASTERN NICOLLET COUNTIES...

At 151 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported mudslides from heavy 
rain impacting Highway 169 south of St. Peter. Additionally, flooding 
has closed state highway 112 south of Le Sueur. Three to four inches 
of rain have fallen of these areas. Impacts from flash flooding are 
expected to continue through 315 PM CDT.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
St. Peter, New Prague, Le Sueur, Le Center, Kasota, Helena, Ottawa,
Heidelberg, St Thomas, St Henry and St Benedict.
