  Central Rice County in south central Minnesota...
  Southeastern Washington County in east central Minnesota...
  Northwestern Pierce County in west central Wisconsin...

* Until 300 PM CDT.

* At 1158 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 
  two inches of rain have already fallen across portions of Rice 
  and Dakota counties. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Faribault, Northfield, Cottage Grove, Hastings, Rosemount,
  Farmington, Prescott, Cannon Falls, Afton, Dundas, Stanton and
  Morristown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

SOUTHERN DAKOTA...NORTHWESTERN GOODHUE...CENTRAL RICE...SOUTHEASTERN
WASHINGTON AND NORTHWESTERN PIERCE COUNTIES...

At 140 PM CDT, Local emergency management and law enforcement 
reported numerous flooded roadways in Northfield and Dundas. Three 
to four inches of rain has fallen over these areas. The flash 
flood threat is expected to continue through 3 PM CDT.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Faribault, Northfield, Cottage Grove, Hastings, Rosemount,
Farmington, Prescott, Cannon Falls, Afton, Dundas, Stanton and
Morristown.
