  the Tombigbee River Near Coffeeville Dam

* At 7 PM Friday the stage was 32.5 feet. 
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast. 
* Flood stage is 29 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by early Tuesday morning.
* At 29 feet...Pastureland becomes flooded. Livestock should be moved to 
  higher ground. Old Ferry Road near the river begins to flood.

north at 10 to 15 knots with gusts to 20 knots through mid
to late afternoon today diminishing to 5 to 8 knots this
evening and overnight. 32/ee

.PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 427 AM CDT Fri Apr 26 2019/

NEAR TERM /Now Through Friday night/...Main upper trof that
moved across the north central Gulf states yesterday will continue
to shift east through tonight reaching the western Atlantic late
tonight and early Sat morning. Near the sfc high pressure centered
over north TX and the central Plains states will shift southeast
reaching the north central Gulf states by early Sat morning. For
this morning some residual moisture in the lower levels of the
boundary layer is noted resulting in some patchy fog and low
status in some inland areas, especially over eastern and lower
sections of the forecast area generally north of the coast. Some
light sprinkles will also be possible very early this morning
mostly well inland from the coast and well east of the I-65
corridor. Later this morning and this afternoon the residual
moisture mostly in the form of lows clouds and patchy fog will
shift east of the forecast area leading to mostly sunny skies for
all locations beginning late this morning continuing through this
afternoon. A light to moderate northerly flow in the wake of the
weak cold front that moved across the region early this morning
will persist through tonight allowing more dry air to advect south
over the region through early Sat morning.

With mostly sunny skies expected later today combined with increased
subsidence in the boundary layer by this afternoon daytime
temperatures will be close to seasonal levels. For tonight lows
temps will be 5 to 7 degrees below average due to less clouds and
cooler dryer air advecting south. Highs today will range from the
mid to upper 70s for most of the northern half of the forecast area
and the upper 70s to lower 80s to the south. Lows tonight will range
from the mid to upper 40s for most inland areas generally north of
the I-10 corridor, the lower to middle 50s to the south inland from
the coast, and the upper 50s to lower 60s along the immediate coast.

SHORT TERM /Saturday Through Sunday night/...The upper flow
flattens over the weekend. Meanwhile, at the sfc, high pressure
will move eastward across the area through Sunday. As the high
moves east, a southerly flow will develop by Saturday afternoon.
Dry and sunny conditions continue with highs generally in the low
80s. /13

LONG TERM /Monday Through Thursday/...An upper level ridge will
build over the area early next week as a trough develops over the
western states. This will lead to stronger subsidence and
continued sunny and warm weather. Rain chances return by late
next week. High temps will reach the low to mid 80s along the
coast and mid to upper 80s inland each afternoon through the long
term. High pressure over the eastern Gulf maintains a light
southerly wind through the period, which helps gradually bring
Gulf moisture back into the area. As a result, overnight lows see
a slow warming trend. /13

MARINE...A light to moderate northerly wind flow will persist over
the marine area through early Sat morning, becoming east then
southeast during the day as a broad surface ridge of high pressure
to the northwest shifts southeast to the north central gulf by
midday. A light southerly will persist through early next week then
gradually build through the remainder of the week as the ridge of
high pressure shifts east to the western Atlantic combined with a
developing upper level system and surface cold front shifting
eastward over the central conus. 32/ee
