Currently...Pockets of some low fog and mist have cleared across the area and the current forecast featuring temperatures a little warmer than previous days remains on track. Will update the text forecast shortly to remove earlier fog mention. from prev disc... Today-Tonight...Weak area of high pressure breaks off from main ridge across the eastern seaboard and builds southeast of the Mid- Atlantic coast today. Proximity of this ridge will keep light and variable winds in place across the area, with a weak sea breeze developing into early-mid afternoon. GFS MOS guidance has been a tad too cool over the past couple days with max temps, so went a degree or two above guidance values for this afternoon, with highs forecast to reach the upper 70s to low 80s. Dry airmass will keep skies mostly clear and rain chances out of the forecast. Low level winds will then begin to increase out of the southwest into tonight well ahead of next front, which should keep min temps in the low 60s and any threat for fog out of the forecast. && .AVIATION... VFR conditions areawide today and tonight. && .MARINE... Today-Tonight...Influence of high pressure nearby will keep light and somewhat variable winds across the waters with speeds around 5 knots or less. Winds may pick up to 5-10 knots out of a more easterly direction near the coast as a weak sea breeze forms. Winds will then pick up fairly quickly into tonight out of the S/SW up to 10-15 knots, and even 15-20 knots offshore north of the Cape by daybreak Sunday. Swells up to 6 feet offshore may expand across much of the Gulf Stream into tonight. Will therefore keep Small Craft Exercise Caution headlines offshore today, which may need to continue and expand into the nearshore Treasure Coast waters into tonight as seas remain elevated and winds begin to increase. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard and never swim alone. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Swells contributing to seas up to 6 feet offshore will expand across much of the Gulf Stream into tonight. Winds will remain rather light today, but will increase up to 15 to 20 knots out of the south to southwest offshore, north of the Cape, into late tonight. Small craft should exercise caution if venturing offshore today and into the Gulf Stream waters into tonight for these poor boating conditions. Northeast swells will also generate hazardous conditions at inlets during the outgoing tide this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
