.UPDATE...
Morning central FL soundings indicate sufficient CAPE, a moist
airmass with PWATs from 1.6.-1.7 inches and mid level temps at 500
mbs around -9 C. The atmosphere will support scattered showers and
isolated lightning storms with daytime heating today. A subtle low
level trough extending from the Atlantic into Brevard and Osceola
counties should be a focus for a higher coverage of afternoon
showers and possibly a few storms across northern and central
sections. Made only slight updates to morning forecast grids with
little change needed to current forecast for this afternoon. POPs
will range from 30-40 percent north/central to 20 percent across the
far south. Highs will range from the lower 80s Volusia coast to the
mid 80s interior and from Brevard south along the coast. A moderate
risk of rip currents is forecast at the beaches with an east swell.

.AVIATION...
Stratus across the interior should become a scattered cumulus field
through 16z as breaks develop in lower cloud deck from KMCO-KSFB and
westward. Isolated to scattered inland moving showers from KDAB-KVRB
will transition toward the vicinity of interior terminals this
afternoon. Some late night stratus may again develop across the
interior late tonight.

.MARINE...Marine forecast is on track with little change for mid
morning updates. Previous...Today-Tonight...High pressure ridging to
the north still promoting an onshore flow increasing to 10-15 kts
today. Initial 2-3 ft seas near shore and 3-4 ft offshore are
forecast to build to 3-4 ft areawide through the day, except
potentially up to 5 ft well offshore Cape northward. Scattered
showers and isolated lightning storms are also forecast.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop today.
A few storms could become strong, containing frequent lightning
strikes, small hail, and gusty winds up to 50 mph.

.FLOOD IMPACT...
Storm motion will be slow and variable today, allowing any stronger
storms to produce locally heavy rainfall up to around 2 to 3 inches
in a short period of time. This may lead to minor flooding,
producing ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage areas,
especially over portions of Merritt Island and the Cape that
experienced heavy rainfall recently.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
Weather and ocean conditions will produce a Moderate Risk of
life-threatening rip currents at the beaches of east central
Florida today. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop today and affect
some of the inland lakes. Storm motion will generally be slow and
variable. Gusty winds up to 40 knots and frequent lightning
strikes will be possible.

.WATERSPOUT IMPACT...
Marine interests should also be alert for the potential of
waterspouts this morning and afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
A cold front is forecast to sweep across the area Friday
afternoon and Friday night. A few storms associated with the front
may contain strong gusty winds, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and torrential rainfall. Strong north winds 20
knots and gusty behind the front will build seas rapidly above 7
feet by Saturday.
