There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall
late this evening especially north of Highway 264. Strong gusty
winds will be the primary threat along with localized flooding of
low- lying and urban areas.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Localized heavy rainfall is possible this weekend as a cold front
stalls off the North Carolina coast and interacts with tropical
moisture from the south.

and well off the NC coast by Monday, with high surf and strong rip
currents expected for the Outer Banks.
