Hazardous Weather Outlook...UPDATED National Weather Service Lubbock TX 1147 AM CDT Mon Jun 24 2019 TXZ021>044-250500- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale- Floyd-Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King- Yoakum-Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 1147 AM CDT Mon Jun 24 2019 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight Isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible late this afternoon into this evening, primarily along and east of the Interstate 27 and Highway 87 Corridor. Damaging wind gusts to 70 mph, golfball size hail and locally heavy rainfall will be the primary threats with the most intense storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Thunderstorm chances, including the risk of strong to severe thunderstorms, will increase for much of the area by Tuesday evening. Otherwise for Wednesday through Sunday, thunderstorm activity will be much more limited, primarily confined to parts of New Mexico to our west. Storms forming over the higher terrain in New Mexico could move into the southwest Panhandle or extreme western South Plains on any particular day, but probabilities for hazardous weather are low. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be requested late this afternoon into this evening.
