Lewis County in northeastern Missouri...
* Until 345 AM CDT.
* At 946 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Canton, Shelbina, Edina, Mendon, La Grange, Clarence, La Belle,
Golden, Shelbyville, Lewistown, Ewing, Knox City, Greensburg,
Maywood, Plevna, Maud, Steffenville, Colony, Emden and Ursa.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to two inches are possible in the
warned area.
This also includes Wakonda State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

At 257 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported several road closures
across portions of these counties. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to continue for at least
the next hour.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Canton, Shelbina, Edina, La Grange, Clarence, La Belle, Shelbyville,
Lewistown, Ewing, Knox City, Greensburg, Maywood, Plevna, Maud,
Steffenville, Colony, Emden, Hunnewell, Hurdland and Novelty.
Additional rainfall amounts of less than 1 inch are expected
in the warned area.
This also includes Wakonda State Park.
