.DISCUSSION...Cold front advancing across east Texas aligned with
a showers and a few thunderstorms. Boundary will be moving across
a large part of the forecast area through the afternoon exiting
lower Acadiana during the early evening. Primary rainfall will
continue to be aligned along boundary and limited as drier mid
level air overruns front. Forecast on track and no update
required.

AVIATION...
Another round of patchy marine induced fog has been
intermittently reducing visibilities across the coastal terminals
this morning. Periods of reduced visibilities will continue
through mid morning along with a low level cloud deck varying
between MVFR and LIFR.
A cold front will move through the area from west to east during
the afternoon accompanied by a line of showers and a few
thunderstorms. Precipitation will end quickly following frontal
passage. Brisk southerly winds will precede the front with
elevated northerly winds following in it's wake. Ceilings will
improve to VFR behind the front overnight.

DISCUSSION...
A few areas of fog this morning much less than we have had for the
last several days as winds remain elevated allowing for some
mixing of the atmosphere. Very summer like with temperatures
hovering around 70 degrees. Sub zero temps for the Dakota's -8 to
-17 degrees below zero at this time.
There is a strong cold front that is making it's way down towards
north Texas this morning as an upper level trof will help in
pushing the system to the south and east. It looks like most of
the colder air will slide off to our east. This front will bring
the chance for showers and thunderstorms today. Not looking for
any severe weather with the passage as the best potential will be
to the north and into northeast texas and Arkansas. As the system
will be moving a bit faster than the last several systems...
rainfall totals will average less than an inch. Look for the front
to enter the lakes region in southeast Texas late this afternoon
and exiting the south central Louisiana coast towards midnight.
By Friday morning lows expected in the 30s well inland and lower
40s along the I-10 corridor. Looking for clouds to linger through
the day on Friday. Coldest temperatures are expected on Saturday
morning with areas of freezing temps in cntrl Louisiana and mid to
upper 30s elsewhere. Temperatures will be cool on saturday but
looking for 60s by Sunday afternoon.
