  area. Flood waters approach Piqua Road...Ohio State Route 49 and 
  Indiana 101 just north of Pleasant Mills. Flood water begins to 
  cross Ohio highway 49 north of Wilshire, Ohio.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.7 feet which occurred 
  on Dec 29 2015.

The chance for rain and a few embedded thunderstorms will continue
this morning before a brief lull in the rain arrives. The chance
for additional showers and storms exists mainly south of Route 30
this afternoon and evening with better chances of showers and
storms for all areas later Wednesday night into Thursday.

.SHORT TERM...(Today and Tonight)
Issued at 422 AM EDT Wed May 29 2019

Convection last night helped to push the old/modified cold front
south. North of this boundary, very chilly marine air had moved
inland with Berrien County temperatures dropping into the upper
40s. A weak wave along the front is expected to bring a round of
showers and storms today. Although initial activity should spread
into northern Indiana this morning, it looks like the better focus
this afternoon will be south of a Monticello to Portland line
where storms have the best chance for becoming surface based.
Limited wind shear in the lower layers would suggest a more
marginal severe storm potential. Otherwise, precipitable water
values will remain very high with a good chance for locally heavy
rain.

.LONG TERM...(Thursday through Tuesday)

A second and stronger wave will move east along the front Thursday
and bring another round of showers and storms. The greatest
potential from these storms is heavy rain, especially over areas
south of Fort Wayne where recent heavy rains have left the ground
saturated and have caused some rivers to flood. Precipitable water
values will remain very high and will continue to provide
favorable conditions for heavy rain. There was a very large spread
of model solutions concerning where convection will initiate. For
now, raised shower and storm chances for Thursday over northern
Indiana and northwest Ohio north of the track of the surface low.
Otherwise, after a short break from the wet weather Friday, more
showers and storms are expected Saturday with the next system.

.AVIATION...(For the 06Z TAFS through 06Z Wednesday Night)
Issued at 128 AM EDT Wed May 29 2019

Outflow boundary from Illinois convection has screamed east and is
causing rapid dissipation the the rain/embedded storms that was
set to impact at least KSBN much of the night. Dry conditions look
to occur at KFWA through 12Z and possibly later with only mention
of precip for now being a VCSH after 18Z given proximity of
boundaries and chance for showers or storms to pop much like
yesterday. Low clouds have formed at KFWA but think it may be
short lived with no other site s showing the same trend so will
handle with a tempo and watch trends. At KSBN, rain and a few
storms was quickly exiting with the airport likely clear of
anything by valid time of TAFs. Have therefore removed any mention
until 10Z when upstream rain across W Illinois may edge into the
area. Not overly optimistic this will make it but will hold onto
things for now. Cold front sinks south today with NW wind likely
bringing an end to any precip at KSBN through almost the end of
the period.

One more system will move in late evening into the overnight hours
of Thursday, near or outside of the valid period, which will
likely require at least MVFR conditions with thunder and heavy
rain back in the picture. Will try to address with 12Z forecast.
