...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood
Warning for portions of the following waterway in north central
Indiana...
Tippecanoe River...
.Lowland flooding will develop along the Tippecanoe River near
Delphi. Significant flooding is not expected. Flooding will affect
some local and state roads...low agricultural land and some river
parks. Flooding will begin on Wednesday.
Flooding will be caused by a combination of rain that has
already fallen and additional rain that is expected between
Tuesday and Wednesday. Flooding of around a foot above flood
stage is expected.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

* At 10.5 feet...Extensive lowland flooding in progress. Additional

in Indiana...
East Fork White River...Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...White
River...
.Flooding is occurring across much of central Indiana as a result of
a combination of several period of rain over the last week.
Several rounds are rain are expected throughout the coming week with
up to an inch and a half to two inches of total rainfall possible
with the heaviest amounts falling along the Wabash River basin.
Flooding will last through the weekend with flooding continuing well
into the month of May along the lower portions of the White and
Wabash Rivers.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area, a distance of nearly 1.5
miles. High water affects Fort Ouiatenon area. All parks in the
West Lafayette and Lafayette areas are flooded. High water almost
on North River Road.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following waterways
in Indiana...
East Fork White River...Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...White
River...
.Flooding is occurring across much of central Indiana as a result of
a combination of several periods of rain over the last couple of weeks.
More rain is expected throughout the rest of this week with one to two
inches more rainfall expected and the heaviest amounts falling along
the Wabash River basin. In most areas, flooding will last through the
coming weekend, with flooding continuing well into the month of May
along the lower portions of the White and Wabash Rivers.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

Preserve Area. Four residences on high ground along CR 950 W cannot
access CR 950 W by land vehicles. Barton Beach and N River Rds
closed. Local roads in the Granville Bridge area and homes near N
9th St also affected.

.Flooding is occurring across much of central Indiana as a result of
a combination of several periods of rain over the last couple of weeks.
More rain is expected throughout the rest of this week with one to two
inches more rainfall expected and the heaviest amounts falling along
the Wabash River basin. In most areas, flooding will last through the
coming weekend, with flooding continuing well into the month of May
along the lower portions of the White and Wabash Rivers.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

.Flooding is occurring across much of central Indiana as a result of
a combination of several periods of rain over the last couple of weeks.
More rain is expected throughout the rest of this week with one to two
inches more rainfall expected and the heaviest amounts falling along
the Wabash River basin. In most areas, flooding will last through the
coming weekend, with flooding continuing well into the month of May
along the lower portions of the White and Wabash Rivers.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

.Flooding is occurring across much of central Indiana as a result of
a combination of several periods of rain over the last couple of
weeks.
More rain is expected throughout the rest of this week, with an
additional one to two inches of rainfall expected. The heaviest
amounts through Saturday look to fall along and south of the
Interstate 70 corridor. In most areas, flooding will last through
the
coming weekend, with flooding continuing well into the month of May
along the lower portions of the White and Wabash Rivers.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

Issued at 353 AM EDT Tue Apr 30 2019 Numerous showers and thunderstorms will impact central Indiana throughout most of the forecast period. A frontal boundary will oscillate over the region, providing a source of forcing for the showers and thunderstorms. It won't be until late weekend when the boundary finally moves southeast of the forecast area that dry conditions return. && .NEAR TERM /This Afternoon/... Issued at 946 AM EDT Tue Apr 30 2019 Surface analysis late this morning shows a warm front in place across southern Indiana...extending from an area of low pressure over Oklahoma. GOES16 shows extensive cloud cover across Central Indiana as SW flow was in place aloft. Water vapor shows a plume of tropical moisture spreading across the plains into the Ohio Valley. Radar shows an area of showers and storms just north of the forecast area...across northern Indiana...making progress northeast. Models slowly allow the warm front to progress northward through the day today...placing most of central Indiana within the warm sector. Models suggest lower level moisture to remain across the area much of the day. Thus have trended toward a mostly cloudy sky...along with afternoon rain chances as the warm frontal boundary lifts northward along with ongoing daytime heating. Stuck close to forecast builder temperatures. && .SHORT TERM /Tonight through Thursday Night/... Issued at 353 AM EDT Tue Apr 30 2019 Showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the short term period as well. As a warm front resides over southern Michigan with the associated surface low over northern Illinois, central Indiana will remain in the warm sector for much of Wednesday and Thursday. Daytime highs will top off in the 70s both days. Meanwhile, a strong low level jet will continue to provide enough forcing for possible strong to severe thunderstorms at times through Wednesday. Then additional forcing will be provided as a trailing cold front drops down across central Indiana on Thursday night. Timing of any convective development will be very dependent on the location of the oscillating frontal boundary, so confidence remains low in timing and location of thunderstorms at this time. && .LONG TERM /Friday through Monday/... Issued at 343 AM EDT Tue Apr 30 2019 As the long term begins a low pressure system is northeast of the forecast area, leaving a bit of wraparound forcing on the backside of the low in its wake. This will keep a chance of light showers around at least the eastern counties through the morning on Friday. While weak high pressure will skirt around to the north Friday into Saturday, another front will slide through the Ohio Valley, possibly through central Indiana but possibly across southern Indiana/northern Kentucky depending what model solution you choose. Thus kept chances for showers and a few embedded thunderstorms from Friday night into Saturday. After Saturday a consensus lends a mostly dry forecast with a few slight chances for showers for parts of the area but no organized forcing mechanism. By Monday afternoon could see a slight chance for thunderstorms with some potential for another front to be approaching from the west. Temperatures through the long term should be near normal with highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s and lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s. && .AVIATION /Discussion for the 301500Z IND TAF/... MVFR cigs are expected to linger for the first few hours as forecast soundings continue to show saturated lower levels through the day. As the warm front lifts north sct light rain showers will be possible. At this time confidence on specific timing is too low...thus have continue a use of VCSH. /Discussion for 301200z TAF issuance/... Issued at 702 AM EDT Tue Apr 30 2019 MVFR conditions are expected to prevail at the TAF sites through mainly the morning hours, so should see ceilings drop soon. Showers will be seen off and on already at KLAF, but will form at some point through the day at or around the other sites as well. Ceilings should improve to VFR from south to north during the afternoon/evening as the front lifts north. Could see some thunderstorms during the period, but at this time will stick with a few hours of VCTS focused on the most likely timing/location late this afternoon/early this evening over the western sites of KHUF and KLAF.
