AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION

.SYNOPSIS...
A cold front will move into the area late today and then slowly
cross the region tonight and Wednesday before finally pushing
off to the east on Wednesday night. High pressure will build
into the Great Lakes for the end of the week into the weekend.

&&

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
Showers and embedded thunderstorms continue to slowly track
across eastern counties this morning. Expect additional showers
and thunderstorms will develop across the region during the day
as weak disturbances travel through a mid level trough that has
its axis near the Indiana-Ohio border through the day. While it
won't be a wash out, most locations will get some measurable
rainfall today with the exception being in parts of west central
Ohio. Temperatures will not rise much with mainly cloudy skies
and precipitation in the region. Highs will generally be in the
lower 80s.

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM WEDNESDAY/...
Mid level trough across the region will not start to move out
until Wednesday. Meanwhile at the surface, a cold front will
enter the region from the west at the beginning of the period
and take until near the end of the period before exiting out of
the eastern counties. Precipitation should diminish through the
evening. But additional showers and thunderstorms will develop
on Wednesday, particularly in eastern counties. Temperatures
will drop into the lower to mid 60s tonight with highs getting
back into the lower 80s on Wednesday.

.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY/...
A weather system will be exiting the region at the start of the long
term time period.  The potential for a few thunderstorms across the
lower Scioto Valley will come to an end Wednesday night.

Although an isolated shower or storm cannot be ruled out, expect
generally dry conditions for the remainder of the long term time
period.

Made only minor adjustments to the blend for temperatures.  High
temperatures through the long term will mostly be in the 80s and low
temperatures will be in the 60s.  Increased cloud cover from the
blend during the daytime hours as the blend tends to underestimate
cu development.

.AVIATION /12Z TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Generally MVFR ceilings across the region will lift to VFR
toward 18Z. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will
move across the region through much of the day. The
precipitation will bring temporary lower conditions. Heading
towards 00Z precipitation will diminish and clouds will
eventually scatter. Wind will become light and with lingering
low level moisture expect some visibility restrictions to
develop late in the TAF period. There could also be some
stratus. Quite a bit of uncertainty with fog/stratus development
and there is the potential for conditions to be lower than is
reflected in the TAFs.

OUTLOOK...MVFR/IFR ceilings and visibility likely Wednesday
morning.
