* Until 830 AM CDT.
* At 754 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located just south of Lake Conroe Dam, or near Conroe,
moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.

Cold front looks to be just past CLL this morning and on the doorstep
of UTS. The rest of the morning looks to be dealing with the boundary
and its associated SHRA/TSRA. Strong gusty north winds in the wake of
the front to prevail into the evening hours along with lower/MVFR CIG
heights. Lower winds and higher ceiling expected by 00-03Z, improving
from NW to SE. VFR thereafter. 41

SHORT TERM [Through Saturday]...
Cold front and associated line of shra/tstms is on the doorstep of the
CWA. Look for some some weakening/breaks in the line as it
approaches the Highway 59/69 corridor toward mid morning and off
the coast of Galveston before lunchtime. High temperatures will
occur this morning followed by falling temperatures into 60s then
50s, gusty north winds and continued cloudy conditions for the
remainder of the day. Some of the hires guidance suggests the
possibility of some precip redevelopment across northern parts of
the region later today closer to the H85 front so will maintain
the mention of some higher POPs there this afternoon. Fcst
soundings show cloudiness lingering over much of the area tonight
& Saturday which should keep nearly steady temps in the 45-55
degree range tonight and also limit the warming on Saturday. 47
LONG TERM [Saturday Night Through Friday]...
As surface high pres moves off to the east on Sunday, a warm front
will gradually move back north and inland Sunday night & Monday.
PW's climb upwards into the 2-2.2" range as this occurs so would
anticipate increased rainfall chances.
Decent rain chances should continue on Tue, mainly across the nrn
half of the area, as a series of weak impulses pass between the
northern periphery of the flat mid level ridge extending across
the Gulf and an approaching trof from the southern Rockies.
As this trof moves ewd, its associated frontal boundary should dip
into the region Tue night and Wed. It should be considerably weaker
than today's front, but there remains a bit of uncertainty in
regards to how far offshore it'll make it and corresponding timing
of rain chances with the return flow later next week. 47
MARINE...
Cold front is just moving into northern portions of SE TX at this
time with its timing to the bays/coastline still around noon. The
front will be accompanied by a weakening line of showers, with an
isolated thunderstorm (or two). Strong/gusty northerly winds deve-
loping in the wake of this boundary have prompted the issuance of
Small Craft Advisories for all our marine zones starting this aft-
ernoon. These SCA flags could be lowered for the bays (to an SCEC)
after midnight...but SCA conditions will prevail over the coastal
waters through the overnight hours into early Sat morning.
High pressure building into the area will help to lower winds and
seas further by Sat afternoon. Rain chances should return by late
Sun/early Mon as the boundary returns as a warm front. A light to
moderate onshore flow is forecast to prevail until mid week or so
behind this warm front. The next cold front is currently expected
Weds. 41
