While the threat for severe thunderstorms remains low, any strong thunderstorm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, brief gusty winds, and frequent cloud to ground lightning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday... Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected each day with the highest thunderstorm coverage in the afternoon and evening hours. Strong to isolated severe storms will be possible, with gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and cloud to ground lightning the primary threats. The heavy rain could lead to localized flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated through tonight, but spotters are encouraged to report any significant rainfall, wind or damage.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN STEWART...
SOUTHWESTERN SUMTER AND WEBSTER COUNTIES UNTIL 800 PM EDT...
At 735 PM EDT...a strong thunderstorm was over Plains, or 8 miles
southeast of Preston...moving west at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind...frequent cloud to ground lightning
and heavy rain.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light...unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.
Some locations in the path of this storm include
Preston, Richland, Plains, Weston, Troutman, Kimbrough, Croxton
Crossroads, Centerpoint, Dumas and Leveretts.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder...you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
