Redeveloping thunderstorms this afternoon will pose both a severe weather and flash flood threat. Damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, lightning and flash flooding are all hazards expected today over the entire area, which is included in a slight risk for severe weather by SPC and a slight-moderate risk for heavy rain by WPC. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY The active weather pattern is forecast to continue until Thursday. Rain chances exist each day which will add to river flooding issues. If conditions set up right, flash flooding will also be a threat in this time frame. A slight-moderate risk of heavy rain is forecast Saturday into early Sunday mainly along and south of I-80. The flash flood watch may need to be extended to account for this. Likewise, severe weather is possible Saturday and again Monday and Tuesday, but it is too early to provide details as to specific timing and hazards. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation and amateur radio activation may be needed this afternoon and evening. wolf
