The first chance of storms occurs during the morning as activity moves in from the west and develops overhead. This pattern could spawn additional development during mid afternoon in the extreme heat and humidity across the area while new storms also develop over the Midwest that could move into Lower Michigan tonight. The primary threat from all of the storms today and tonight is damaging wind gusts potentially around 60 mph.
