...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT WAYNE AND EAST CENTRAL MONROE
COUNTIES...

At 721 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Palmyra, or 7
miles southeast of Fairport, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Fairport, Newark, Williamson, Marion, Lyons, Palmyra, Clyde, Sodus,
Chimney Bluffs State Park, Walworth, Rose, Huron, Wolcott, Macedon,
Sodus Point, Fairville, West Walworth, North Rose, East Williamson
and Alton.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
