This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Deep South
Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are forecast. Strong to severe
thunderstorms are possible, producing large hail, damaging winds,
and locally heavy rainfall with nuisance flooding in low-lying and
poorly-draining areas.

There is a moderate risk of rip currents at the beaches of South
Padre Island and at Boca Chica Beach.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast Tuesday and
Tuesday night. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible,
producing large hail, damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall
with nuisance flooding in low-lying and poorly-draining areas.

An elevated risk of rip currents is possible at the local beaches
through the entire forecast period.

At 1002 AM CDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking
a line of strong thunderstorms from Hebbronville to Roma, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Agua Nueva, El Sauz, Viboras, Lopeno, Bustamante, New Falcon, Zapata
High School, Guerra, Randado and Escobas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 1047 AM CDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Hebbronville
High School to near Agua Nueva to 8 miles southwest of Santa
Catarina. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Falfurrias, Hebbronville, Agua Nueva, Viboras, Gruy Stadium, La
Colonia Park, Santa Catarina, South Fork Estates, Falfurrias Junior
High School and La Gloria.
