At 338 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Gates to Cape Colony. Movement was
east at 35 mph.

These storms will be near...
  Cape Colony around 345 PM EDT.
  Whaleyville and Snug Harbor around 355 PM EDT.
  Burgess around 400 PM EDT.
  Downtown Suffolk and Corapeake around 405 PM EDT.

...AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN
CHESTERFIELD...EASTERN CUMBERLAND...GOOCHLAND...NORTHWESTERN AMELIA
AND POWHATAN COUNTIES...

At 340 PM EDT, thunderstorms with heavy rain were located over
Tobaccoville, or 8 miles east of Cumberland, moving northeast at 25
mph.

Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph and heavy rainfall are possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Powhatan, Goochland, Cumberland, Hadensville, Moseley, Oilville,
Manakin, Tobaccoville, Trenholm, Morven, Lakeside Village, Macon,
Sabot, Fife, Sunnyside, Chula, Ballsville, Maidens, Three Square and
Whiteville.

Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees,
and blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and
other light outdoor objects.

Motorists should use extra caution in the vicinity of these storms.
Be prepared for rapid changes in weather and road conditions. Heavy
rain could cause ponding of water on roads, and possible minor
flooding of ditches and poor drainage areas.
