.Heavy rain associated with summertime thunderstorm activity has 
cause several rivers to go into minor flood stage. Rivers will have 
to be watched closely as more rain is expect in the next few days.

* At 09 PM Monday the stage was 11.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 12.1 feet by early 
  tomorrow morning. The river is expected to fall below flood stage 
  tomorrow late morning.
* Impact...at 11.0 feet...Private road and bridge 1 mile downstream 
  flood. Agricultural, rural Kibler area begins to flood.
* Flood history...This compares to a previous crest of 12.1 feet 
  on Jun 21 1975.

.Water levels continue to recede some on the Manatee River At Kayak 
Head and the Peace River at Zoloft Springs is currently cresting. 
Meanwhile, minor flooding will occur on the Kayak River At 
Myakka River State Park through the weekend. Any locally heavy rain 
that falls over the next day or two may exacerbate the current 
flooding.

.DISCUSSION (Tonight-next Monday)...
Mid/upper level ridge will remain over the southern U.S. and Florida
through the period with surface high pressure remaining off the mid-
Atlantic and southeast U.S. coast. This will continue the deep layer
east to southeast flow with ample moisture moving westward across
the region. This combined with daytime heating will support
scattered to numerous diurnal sea breeze driven showers and
thunderstorms each day. The flow will remain strong enough to keep
the west coast sea breeze close to the coast so the highest rain
chances will continue to be generally west of the Interstate 75
corridor during the late afternoon and early evening hours.
Convection will gradually dissipate as it moves west out into the
Gulf waters during the each evening with mostly clear to partly
cloudy skies overnight. Main concerns with the storms will continue
to be locally heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and strong gusty
winds. Daytime high temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower
90s through the period with overnight lows mostly in the 70s.

.AVIATION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will cause MVFR/local IFR
conditions along with gusty winds up to 30 knots into this evening.
Some more MVFR ceilings will be possible once daytime heating gets
underway Tuesday morning, otherwise mainly VFR conditions are
expected. The east to southeast winds will persist at 6 to 10 knots,
but will try to shift to onshore at TPA, PIE and SRQ this afternoon.

.MARINE...
Surface high pressure from the Atlantic extending west across the
southeastern U.S. will maintain an east to southeast flow across the
eastern Gulf waters through the week with a weak onshore sea breeze
component developing right along the coast each day during the late
afternoon. Wind speeds will remain 15 knots or less with seas 4 feet
or less, except in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms. No
headlines are expected.

No fire weather hazards are expected for the next several days as
relative humidity values will remain well above critical levels.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Scattered thunderstorms will develop again this afternoon, with
the greatest storm coverage along and to the west of the
Interstate 75 corridor during the late afternoon and early
evening hours. Thunderstorms that develop will be capable of
producing strong gusty winds, locally heavy rains, and frequent
deadly lightning strikes.

...RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...
Heavy rainfall the last few days along with the possibility of
additional heavy rain today will cause several area rivers to run
at or near minor flood stage. Residents living along rivers or
faster flowing streams should remain aware of water levels and
be ready to move to higher ground should flooding be observed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected each day
