.SHORT TERM (Tonight-Tuesday)...
Hurricane Michael is forecast to move north across the Gulf of
Mexico and into the Florida Panhandle/Big Bend over the next couple
of days. For tonight into Tuesday the breezy east to southeast flow
will persist under mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms, some containing gusty winds to around 40
mph, will diminish early tonight on land, but continue scattered
over the coastal waters. On Tuesday we'll see more scattered quick
moving showers and isolated thunderstorms develop as the day
progresses with some of these containing strong gusty winds once
again. Temperatures will remain above normal in the 70s tonight and
then close to normal in the mid 80s to near 90 on Tuesday.

.MID TERM/LONG TERM (Tuesday Night-Monday)...
Will be dealing with the impacts from Hurricane Michael at the start
of the period through Wednesday night or Thursday. Winds then shift
to the W/SW Thursday night and rain chances lower as Michael lifts
out to the NE and a front pushes into the area in the wake of
Michael, with some drier air moving into the northern half of the
area. The area will continue to slowly clear as the front pushes
south of the area and stalls across south FL Friday, turning winds
to the N/NW. Winds will quickly shift back to the east for Saturday
through the rest of the period with moisture quickly returning and
scattered afternoon and evening storms possible each day. Lows will
be in the 70s to lower 80s through Thursday night, then some cooler
air will move into the area, with mid to upper 60s possible across
the Nature Coast to the lower to mid 70s elsewhere Friday night.
Lows then slowly moderate back to the lower to mid 70s by Sunday
night. Highs in the mid 80s to around 90 to start the period. Then
Friday through Monday upper 80s to around 90.

.AVIATION...
Scattered quick moving showers and isolated thunderstorms will cause
MVFR/local IFR conditions along with gusty winds up to around 35
knots into early this evening. Otherwise mainly VFR conditions are
expected before more scattered convection develops Tuesday late
morning through the afternoon. The breezy east to southeast winds
will persist at 10 to 15 knots with some higher gusts during the
daylight hours.

.MARINE...
Tropical Storm conditions will be possible across much of the waters
Tuesday and Wednesday as Michael moves north across the Gulf of
Mexico, with Hurricane conditions possible over the outer waters
from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee river out 20 to 60 nm. Extremely
hazardous seas likely across the entire region. Winds will gradually
subside Wednesday night and Thursday as Michael exits the region,
although the hazardous seas will take some time to subside. High
pressure will build over the waters late in the week with lighter
winds and subsiding seas.
