NORTHWESTERN HALIFAX COUNTIES...
Until 1030 AM EDT.
At 958 AM EDT, radar indicated showers were located along a line
extending from Cody to near Crystal Hill to near Ingram. Movement was
northeast at 30 mph.
Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with these showers. Given how
saturated the ground is across the area, this magnitude of wind
speed may be enough to down some trees, especially those with poor
or shallow root systems. The showers could intensify into
thunderstorms.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these showers, and may

At 210 PM EDT, thunderstorms were located along a line extending
from near Mountain Park to near Taylorsville. Movement was northeast
at 40 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Airy...
North Wilkesboro...
Elkin...
Wilkesboro...
and Fairview.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
