This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Kentucky, southeast
Ohio, southwest Virginia and much of West Virginia.

A few thunderstorms today could be strong to severe with gusty winds
the main threat. Showers and thunderstorms could also produce very
heavy rainfall into tonight. Repetitive activity could cause
localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHERN MEIGS...
NORTHEASTERN GALLIA...CENTRAL JACKSON AND SOUTHEASTERN VINTON
COUNTIES...

At 739 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 6 miles east of Mcarthur to near Wellston
to 10 miles northeast of Waverly. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Jackson, Wellston, Pomeroy, Rutland, Mason, Chester, Hamden, Hartford
City, Coalton, Vinton, Wilkesville, Radcliffe, Dyesville, Salem
Center, Harrisonville, Dexter, Byer and Carpenter.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
