heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wetmore.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Junkins Burn Scar, along with Hardscrabble Creek
towards Wetmore. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud,
vegetation and other loose materials.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

At 453 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have produced
heavy rain across the Junkins burn scar. Pueblo Doppler radar has
estimated up to one inch of rain has fallen with the heaviest having
fallen across the Middle and South Hardscrabble Creeks. Flash
flooding is expected to continue.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Middle and South Hardscrabble Creeks and the
North Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation
and other loose materials.

with the heaviest amounts across the Middle and South Hardscrabble
Creeks. Flash flooding is expected continue until the water has a
chance to recede.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Middle and South Hardscrabble drainages. The
