The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West central Huerfano County in southeastern Colorado...
  Northeastern Costilla County in south central Colorado...

* Until 930 PM MDT.

* At 624 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Spring Burn Scar, La Veta Pass and Paradise Acres.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow 
moving through drainages near and north of HWY 160. The debris flow 
can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

This includes the following streams and drainages...North Abeyta 
Creek...Yellowstone Creek...South Fork...South Oak Creek...Oak 
Creek...Pass Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MDT FOR
WEST CENTRAL HUERFANO AND NORTHEASTERN COSTILLA COUNTIES...

At 719 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen 
across portions of the Spring Creek burn scar, including 0.7" to 
1.4" in Pass Creek Drainage. Flash flooding is expected to continue.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar has resulted in debris flow in 
the Pass Creek drainage. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, 
vegetation and other loose materials.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pass Creek Burn Scar, Paradise Acres, and La Veta Pass.

This includes the following streams and drainages...North Abeyta 
Creek...Yellowstone Creek...South Fork...South Oak Creek...Oak
