.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Wednesday. Clear skies across the
forecast area this afternoon with a dry northwest flow aloft. Just
a few cumulus over the mountains. An upper level trough and cold
front will be moving into southern BC overnight. Skies will remain
clear to partly cloudy with lows in the 40s to mid 50s. The upper
trough and cold front will move across the region Monday and Mon
night. Moisture with this system is limited and expect partly
cloudy skies. Scattered showers over the Washington Cascades. The
front will result in another breezy day with westerly winds.
Temperatures well below normal with highs mainly in the 70s. Mon
night will be cool with lows in the upper 30s and 40s. The upper
trough moves east on Tuesday with the flow becoming westerly.
Partly cloudy skies early then becoming mostly sunny. Lighter
winds. A larger upper level low will then set up offshore on
Wednesday. Southwest flow will bring a warming trend with highs in
the upper 70s and 80s. Skies will be partly cloudy. 94

.LONG TERM...Wednesday night through Sunday...GFS/ECMWF in general
agreement into Friday, with mid/upper level low pressure digging
well offshore the WA/OR coast. Southwest flow aloft will result in
dry conditions through Friday with hotter temperatures, with highs
Thursday and Friday in the lower to mid 90s for the lowest
elevations. GFS/ECMWF/Canadian models still differ somewhat Friday
night/Saturday with the ejection of the offshore trough across the
Pacific Northwest, with the Canadian model deeper with the trough as
it ejects across the region, resulting in a decent swath of precip
Friday night/early Saturday. ECMWF ans GFS are not quite as potent,
but still have enough deep moisture/lift for at least some precip.
Thus, will raise PoPs Friday night/Saturday, with low end chance
PoPs late Friday night/early Saturday, decreasing later in the day
as the trough moves off to the east. Behind the trough, the flow
will become westerly with dry conditions expected for late Saturday
through Sunday. Temperatures will cool to near normal Saturday and
Sunday along and in the wake of the trough passage.

.AVIATION...00Z TAFs...VFR conditions will prevail for the next 24
hours. Mainly clear skies can be expected through tonight, with some
increase in upper level clouds Monday. Winds 15-25 KT with gusts of
22-32 KT can be expected through this evening, with the greatest
winds at DLS/PDT. Some decrease in winds will occur overnight, with
another round of winds 15-25 KT with gusts to 30 KT expected Monday
afternoon.
