.AVIATION...

VFR conditions currently across the terminals with a line of
showers and storms approaching from the west. Expect TYS and TRI
will see TSRA around 18-20Z as the line moves through with
visibilities down to IFR at times. For now, it appears that most
of the activity will remain north of CHA and have left things dry
there. After around 20-21z, expect the remainder of the TAF period
will be dry with the possibility of some patchy MVFR fog at TRI
near sunrise.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Southwest North
Carolina...East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A weak frontal boundary will move into the area today. Isolated
to scattered thunderstorms are possible, a few of which could
become strong to severe. The primary threats with the strongest
storms will be damaging winds and large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

No hazardous weather is expected.

At 1248 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Wilkerson to Jacksboro. Movement was
southeast at 30 mph.

Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
La Follette, Maynardville, New Tazewell, Tazewell, Plainview,
Jacksboro, Caryville, Blaine, Lake City, Norris, Luttrell, Norris Dam
State Park, Lone Mountain, Rose Hill, Big Ridge State Park, Cove Lake
State Park, Clairfield, Fincastle, White Oak and Springdale.

a line extending from Harrogate to near New Tazewell to 7 miles
southwest of Tazewell to 7 miles north of Maynardville. Movement was
east at 45 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Morristown, Sneedville, Rutledge, New Tazewell, Bean Station,
Tazewell, Russellville, Harrogate, Springdale, Lone Mountain, Howard
Quarter, Thorn Hill, Evanston, Rose Hill, Treadway, Sharps Chapel,
Sandlick, Mooresburg, Powell River Preserve and St. Clair.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Benton. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Chattanooga, Cleveland, Dunlap, Jasper, Benton, Ducktown,
Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Walden, Lakesite, Whitwell, Charleston,
Ridgeside, Harrison, East Cleveland, South Cleveland, Fairmount,
Wildwood Lake, Red Bank and Collegedale.
